Tsunami Punx: Rebuilding Northern Japan's Music Communities
Following the devastating 2011 tsunami, musicians and community organizers teamed together as "Tohoku Live House Daisakusen" to build new music venues ("live houses") using reclaimed rubble to help invigorate the rural countryside where most of the damage was incurred. In 2013, 2 students from Tokyo's Waseda University took their cameras up to the sites of the new venues to document what was happening on the ground with the project.
